All the courses on LinkedIn fall into four categories: Business, Creative, Technology, and Certifications. It was founded in 1995 by Lynda Weinman as Lynda.com before being acquired by LinkedIn in 2015 and becoming LinkedIn Learning.
LinkedIn Learning (formerly known as Lynda.com) offers over 16,000 video courses in seven different languages. Courses designed to help anyone learn software, technology, creative, and business skills to achieve their personal and professional goals.
There is no set amount of time to learn Microsoft Project. It will vary based on the individual and other factors affecting learning. Some factors include prior experience, familiarity with project management principles, familiarity with other products from the Microsoft Office family, and your chosen learning method.
Microsoft bought LinkedIn in 2016, a year after LinkedIn had purchased online learning portal Lynda.com. This year, 2019, Microsoft is moving all Lynda.com customers to LinkedIn Learning, a shift it expects to complete before the end of the calendar 2019.
Cons. Not accredited. Even though you receive a certificate of completion, some jobs might not recognize it since most of the courses are not accredited by a formal academic institution.
While Lynda is a great option for people looking for general knowledge on a large number of topics, it is not the best option for people only interested in a single course. Bottom line: Lynda is a flexible learning platform which offers unlimited access to many courses for a flat monthly subscription fee.
The basic option costs $25 per month and unlocks all of the courses on the website. The premium version costs $37,50 and should be seen as an upgrade to the basic option - it offers all of the benefits of the basic plan, but also includes extra course material and some files to learn and study from.
How to Add LinkedIn Learning Certificates to Resume. LinkedIn Learning's wide range of online courses are taught by industry professionals giving you a better chance to get noticed by prospective employers. Most employers recognize LinkedIn Learning as an excellent career and skills development platform.
The learning curve is steep, especially compared to more beginner-friendly tools out there. But if you need an advanced solution for project management at scale, you should definitely consider MS Project. It's generally a better choice for medium to large organizations with a highly experienced project manager.
Here is just one important statement you should know: MS Project is not free . It can be “free” for you if you've paid for the Office Suite. For years, the product from Microsoft has existed as an On-premise solution. You have to install it as a desktop application.

LinkedIn explained that it acquired Lynda to create a better experience for LinkedIn users. For example, LinkedIn users will be suggested courses from Lynda that will improve their career prospects or allow them improve their skills at their current job.
